The City of Vaughan is seeking a real estate lawyer with at least 3 years of experience with development matters to join its well-established and collaborative team. Reporting to the Deputy City Solicitor, Real Estate and Development Law, you will be responsible for advising across the full spectrum of real estate and development matters including capital projects, Planning Act and Condominium Act matters, and development finance matters. This role will suit an adaptable lawyer with superior communication skills and strong business acumen who can provide practical legal advice.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience drafting and negotiating agreements related to commercial, residential, and industrial real estate transactions and land development matters, gained from a strong firm or in-house environment. This is an exceptional opportunity for a candidate with excellent practical judgement and the demonstrated ability to build strong relationships to join a highly collegial team and work on a variety of interesting projects.
