People come here because they want their work to matter. Every day, our teams help communities and organizations make better decisions using geography, digital mapping and spatial insights. The impact is real and visible—from improving community planning to supporting smarter, more informed decision making. Consistently recognized by Deloitte as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies, you’ll work alongside people who care deeply about solving problems thoughtfully and responsibly. It’s highly collaborative work, with the opportunity to see the real-world outcomes of what you do.

Esri Canada is looking for a commercially minded lawyer to join their growing team as Legal Counsel. Reporting to the GC, and based in Toronto, the successful candidate will be bilingual in French and English and will partner with stakeholders across the business to provide practical legal advice across a broad range of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters, with a particular focus on technology-related legal issues. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience negotiating and drafting complex commercial and technology agreements including SaaS, software licensing, customer, supplier, and services contracts.

As Legal Counsel, you will partner closely with stakeholders across the business including sales, procurement, and business leaders to provide strategic legal advice, manage commercial risk, and support government procurement activities, including RFPs. This role will suit a candidate with strong commercial judgement, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives in a fast-paced environment.  This is a rare opportunity to work on high-impact legal matters, that directly support business growth and innovation, in a role that offers a very flexible hybrid working pattern.
