Residential Heating Ventilation Contractors Association (RHVCA) was established September 4, 1968, when the Residential Sheet Metal Contractors Association was incorporated as a non-profit trade association, to represent member contractors. The association is an accredited bargaining agent under the Labour Relations Act, permitted to negotiate on behalf of members in ways that reflect the best interests of the residential sheet metal contracting industry. It also represents members of the association in matters pertaining to the building and construction industry in its accredited areas in the Province of Ontario.
is seeking a dynamic and adaptable lawyer to join the organization as CEO
at the head office in Woodbridge. The CEO will partner closely with the association members, the board members, and the union, providing advice across labour and employment matters, construction industry matters, and corporate governance matters. The CEO will provide strategic and professional expertise and guidance at all organizational levels on matters related to labour relations, including collective bargaining, grievance administration, occupational health and safety, internal workplace investigations and collective agreement interpretation and compliance. The successful candidate will also be a member of a number of standing committees including the Management Committee and Labour Negotiating Committee.
The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years
of strong labour relations and employment law experience and the demonstrated ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across a variety of business stakeholders. This role will suit a versatile lawyer with strong business acumen who can provide practical legal advice.
